“Antiques Road Show Style Appraisal Fair”

Date: Monday, November 24, 2014
Time: 5:30pm - 8:00pm
Location: The William Penn Inn
Speaker: Jeffrey Henkel, Kamelot Auction House

Come out and enjoy an “Antiques Road Show Style” appraisal event hosted by Jeffrey Henkel of Kamelot Auction House.  Jeffrey’s presentation style provides background on the items he is valuing with an entertaining interaction with the audience.

Jeffrey has been a resident general appraiser for Kamelot Auction House since 2007.  He is a graduate of New York University’s Fine and Decorative Arts Appraisal program.  With more than twenty years of professional experience, Jeffrey is a well-known expert throughout the metropolitan areas of New York City and Philadelphia.  He has spoken and hosted appraisal programs representing Kamelot at venues throughout the area and been a featured guest on television programs including the Martha Stewart Show.

Attendees ARE ENCOURAGED to bring your antiques and valuables to this presentation.  Suggestions include small furniture (pictures for larger pieces), watches, clocks, lamps, vases, art, and other valuables.  Our host is a collector of antique holiday items so bring these as well.  If you are curious, bring it along as well as anything you know about it.  Tag your item with your name and join the fun.  Please note, we are not appraising coins, stamps, or jewelry (though feel free to bring watches).

This event is fun.  We want YOU to come!

This course will discuss the impact the challenging economic conditions of recent years have had on the value of personal property.  The course will also review factors which contribute to value including the impact of technology and the global market auctions have become.

Our thanks to The Montgomery County Foundation, Inc. for their sponsorship of this program.  Materials regarding their services will be made available at the meeting.
